Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026 / Effective date: June 1, 2026
Toreiru (operator: Keisuke Kanda; hereinafter "we" or "us") respects the privacy of users of the iOS app "Pocke" (hereinafter the "App") and establishes this Privacy Policy (hereinafter this "Policy") regarding the handling of personal information and user data. By downloading or using the App, the user is deemed to have agreed to the contents of this Policy. Please read this Policy before using the App.
Pocke never takes your money matters anywhere.
The data you record exists solely within your iPhone. We do not send your records to any external server, use them for advertising, or sell them. We communicate with external services only when fetching exchange rates for the overseas/currency feature, and even then we do not transmit your record data or personal information.
1. Operator Information
- Provider: Toreiru (operator: Keisuke Kanda)
- App name: Pocke
- Contact: the contact form on our support page
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect the following information.
- Personally identifiable information such as name, address, telephone number, or email address
- Account information (the App does not require login or registration)
- Personal data on the device such as location, contacts, photos, or calendar
- Authentication credentials for financial institutions, such as bank account or credit card numbers (the App does not link with financial institutions)
- Tracking information using the advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Sensor information such as microphone, camera, or health data
3. Data Handled by the App
The App handles the following data that the user enters manually.
- The name and type of payment methods (cash / credit or debit / gift card, etc.) and their balances
- The amount, date and time, place, and category of income and expenses
- In-app display settings
This data is stored within the user's device (iOS local storage and the App Group shared area used for widget display). It is not automatically sent to or stored on our servers. This information is entered voluntarily by the user, and whether to enter it is left to the user's discretion.
4. Purpose of Use
The data entered by the user is used only within the device for the following purposes.
- To display balances by payment method and in total
- To display and tally income and expense history so that it can be reviewed in weekly reports and the like
- To display the latest status in the home screen widget and the Dynamic Island
- To retain the display settings configured by the user
We do not use the user's data beyond the scope of these purposes.
5. Communication with External Servers
The App does not send the user's record data (transactions, balances, etc.) to external servers. Recording, tallying, and balance calculation are all completed within the device. The App does not send user data to external cloud services or AI/analytics services.
The only exception is that, when the overseas/currency conversion feature is used, the App communicates with an external service to fetch the latest exchange rates. This communication contains only the request needed to retrieve the rates; the user's record data and personally identifiable information are not sent. The handling of data by the external service that provides exchange rates is governed by that service provider's policy.
6. iCloud Backup
If the user has enabled iOS iCloud Backup, the App's data may be stored in Apple's iCloud as part of the device backup. This is a mechanism provided by Apple, and its handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access this backup data. The user can enable or disable backups at any time from the iOS settings.
7. Information Related to the App Store and Purchases
Downloading the App and the payments for paid features or in-app purchases (premium subscription) are all conducted through Apple's App Store / StoreKit. Payment information such as credit card numbers is managed by Apple, and we do not obtain or retain it. We may refer to aggregated, anonymous statistics provided by Apple (such as number of downloads, country, and device type—information that does not identify individuals). Apple's handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
8. Diagnostics and Crash Information
If the user has enabled iOS "Analytics & Improvements" (sharing of diagnostic data), diagnostic information such as app crash logs may be provided to the developer through Apple. This information is aggregated in a form that does not identify individuals and is used only for the purposes of fixing defects and improving quality. This feature can be disabled at any time from the iOS settings. The App does not incorporate any proprietary crash analytics SDK (such as Firebase).
9. Tracking and Advertising (ATT)
The App does not track users. It does not display advertisements, integrate with third-party advertising networks, or obtain the IDFA (advertising identifier). For this reason, it also does not display the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) tracking permission dialog.
10. Provision and Sale to Third Parties
We do not sell or lease the user's data to third parties. We also do not provide it to third parties except in the following cases.
- When the user has given their consent
- When there is a disclosure request based on laws and regulations
- When it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of the user or a third party, and it is difficult to obtain the user's consent
The App does not incorporate advertising networks or analytics SDKs.
11. Data Retention Period and Deletion
Record data is retained within the device until the user deletes it. The user can edit or delete individual records within the App, and can also delete all data on the device by uninstalling the App from the iPhone. Because we do not retain user data on a server, no data storage or deletion processing occurs on our side.
12. User Rights
Because the App's data exists only within the user's device, the user can at any time view, correct, delete, and migrate (restore from backup) the data themselves. Rights such as access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) are likewise realized through the user's own actions by the App's design. If you have any questions, please contact us via the contact form.
13. Cross-Border Data Transfers
Because the App does not send the user's data to our servers, no cross-border data transfer by us takes place. When iCloud Backup is used, the location where the data is stored is governed by Apple's policy and the user's iCloud settings.
14. Children's Privacy
The App is not designed to collect personal information targeting any particular age group. Because the App does not collect personally identifiable information, we do not obtain personal information even if a child uses it. We recommend that children use the App under the supervision of a guardian.
15. Security
The App's data is stored within the device and managed under the iOS sandbox and data protection mechanisms. In case of loss or theft, we recommend setting up device locking with a passcode or Face ID / Touch ID. Please understand that no method can guarantee the security of information 100%.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Policy in response to changes in laws and regulations, additions of features to the App, and the like. When there is a significant change, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page and, as necessary, provide notice within the App or on this website. If the user continues to use the App after a change, the user is deemed to have agreed to the changed Policy.
17. Governing Law and Contact
The interpretation and application of this Policy shall be governed by the laws of Japan. For inquiries regarding this Policy or the privacy of the App, please contact us at the following.
